Job summary

BYD Indonesia is seeking a Robotic Engineer to design and integrate robotic systems for welding applications, including KUKA spot and arc welding and door cover edge welding. The role involves teaching, path simulation, and both offline and online path programming.

You will develop robot control programs, configure PLC interactions, and ensure safe, reliable robot-to-PLC communication. onsite support and rigorous adherence to safety and quality standards are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Robotic Engineering or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of related experience.
• Proficient in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate robotic systems for KUKA spot welding, arc welding, and door cover edge welding applications.
• Perform robot teaching, path simulation, and offline/online path programming.
• Develop robot control programs, set PLC signal interactions, and design emergency stop interlocks.
• Design robot-to-PLC communication, and select appropriate robot hardware, payload, and reach/accessibility.
• Coordinate signal interfacing between robots and welding machines, including equipment communication and synchronization.
• Provide on-site troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and maintenance support for robotic systems.
• Follow and implement company safety, quality, and process requirements throughout all project stages.

Requirements

• Minimum of Diploma Degree in Robotic Engineer
• 1-3 years of similar working experience
