Job summary

Tekmark Group in Penang invites an Application Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will solve technical challenges, closely collaborate with customers, and lead demonstrations, testing, and commissioning.

You will engage across the sales cycle, becoming the go-to expert for customer applications and helping implement solutions while building lasting relationships. We offer a hybrid work arrangement and a 5-day work week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• 2 years’ experience in Semiconductor, Electronics, or Manufacturing industry (RF/microwave testing is a big plus!).
• Strong knowledge in test & measurement instruments (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF sources, RF power meters, noise figure analyzers, RF/uW network analyzers).
• Programming knowledge in SCPI, .NET, C#, C++, or Keysight/Agilent VEE is an advantage.
• Customer-focused mindset: team player, self-driven, and passionate about solving technical problems.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to exceed targets by providing pre- and post-sales technical support (demo, application, training, testing, and commissioning).
• Engage actively throughout the sales cycle — from deal qualification to benchmarking and closure.
• Be a go-to expert in customer applications and highlight technical advantages that win deals.
• Understand customer needs, recommend the best-fit solutions, and ensure successful implementation.
• Build long-term customer relationships by delivering excellent service and problem-solving support.
• Continuously improve our support services to raise customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Take ownership of additional projects or responsibilities as assigned.
