Basic Kin in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Visual Merchandiser to execute window displays, floor sets, and product layouts that align with corporate guidelines. You will maintain store presentation, signage, lighting, and cleanliness while adapting visuals to seasonal campaigns and trends.
The role requires 2+ years in visual merchandising, strong fashion sense, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment. Lifting, ladders, and weekend shifts may be required.
Execute window displays, in-store visual presentations, and mannequin styling in accordance with the Company's visual merchandising standards.
Implement floor sets, product layouts, and merchandising plans based on corporate guidelines.
Ensure visual displays remain attractive, commercial, and aligned with current fashion trends.
Maintain high standards of store presentation, signage, lighting, and cleanliness.
Monitor product sell-through and adjust merchandise displays to maximize sales opportunities.
Collaborate with the Store Manager to highlight key products, promotions, and seasonal collections.
Ensure timely replenishment of merchandise to maintain an appealing sales floor.
Support inventory accuracy through proper product placement and stock organization.
Ensure all visual merchandising activities are consistent with Basic Kin's brand image and marketing campaigns.
Maintain visual consistency across all store areas to enhance the overall customer experience.
Adapt visual presentations based on business priorities, promotional events, and seasonal launches.
Work closely with the Store Manager and sales team to achieve sales and operational goals.
Coach and guide store associates on visual merchandising standards and product presentation.
Support store setup, promotional events, floor changes, and new store initiatives.
Monitor display effectiveness and customer shopping behaviour.
Provide regular feedback, photos, and reports to the Regional Visual Merchandising team.
Recommend improvements based on sales performance, customer insights, and market trends.
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Interior Design, Fashion Design, Retail Management, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years' experience in Visual Merchandising within the retail industry.
Fashion or fast-fashion retail experience is highly preferred.
Strong fashion sense with knowledge of current trends, styling, and customer shopping behaviour.
Good understanding of visual merchandising principles, planograms, and space planning.
Creative, detail-oriented, and commercially aware.
Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
Physically fit and comfortable with lifting, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods.
Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, public holidays, and early mornings when required.
