Job summary

RHB Investment Bank Berhad in Malaysia seeks a motivated Retail Research Analyst to conduct retail and technical research, providing short-term trading ideas to Retail Securities and supporting Group Investment Banking revenue. You will write daily and weekly retail research reports, monitor micro and macro factors, and actively engage clients at seminars and meetings to bolster the research product.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Investment, Business, or related discipline.
• Possession of Investment Adviser Representative's Licence or similar is an added advantage.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in retail or technical research in a financial institution.
• Experience in securities, stockbroking, investment banking, asset management, or financial services is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, and market analysis techniques.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Meet requests from Retail Securities and Institutional Equities sales teams and clients; provide research support to revenue pillars.
• Responsible for retail research products; monitor factors affecting products.
• Generate short-term investment ideas on indices, commodities, currencies, and stocks; write reports daily/weekly.
• Update Retail Securities clients on developments.
• Assist in production/coordination of research publications.
