Job summary

RHB Investment Bank Berhad is seeking a motivated Retail Research Analyst to conduct retail and technical research, delivering short-term trading ideas to Retail Securities and supporting Group Investment Banking revenue initiatives.

The role covers retail research products, client engagement, and collaborative work with ECM, Corporate Finance, and other teams. A Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of relevant experience are preferred, with proficiency in MS Office and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Investment, Business, or related discipline.
• Investment Adviser Representative's Licence would be an added advantage.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in retail or technical research in a financial institution.
• Experience in securities, stockbroking, investment banking, asset management or financial services would be an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of financial markets and investment products.
• Fluent written and verbal English.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Meet requests from Retail Securities and Institutional Equities sales teams and provide research support to Group Wholesale Banking and Group Investment Banking revenue pillars.
• Responsible for retail research products, as assigned and monitor micro and macro factors affecting the products.
• Generate short-term investment ideas on equity indices, commodities, currencies and stocks.
• Write retail research reports daily and weekly.
• Consistently update Retail Securities clients on the latest developments.
• Assist in production/coordination of research publications.
• Accompany the Head, Retail Research in retail seminars and client servicing efforts in home country and overseas markets.
• Retail Research Analysts may be given enlarged role with additional responsibilities and cover products outside home country; service clients at seminars; handle queries.
