Job summary

AmBank Group Internal Audit Division (GIAD) invites applications for an audit professional focused on Retail Banking. You will lead and execute internal audit assignments across Head Office and Branches, assess risks, develop audit plans, and report findings to strengthen governance and controls.

The role requires 3–4 years of audit experience in banking, strong analytic and reporting skills, and the ability to manage multiple assignments independently.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy, Business, Finance, or related discipline.
• Professional qualification and/or Certified Bank Auditor preferred.
• 3–4 years of internal/external audit experience, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Experience auditing financial institutions is essential.
• Strong analytical, report-writing, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute internal audit assignments for Retail Banking Head Office and Branches.
• Assess operational, regulatory, and compliance risks.
• Develop audit plans, programmes, and reports.
• Identify control gaps and recommend process improvements.
• Monitor and follow up on audit findings until resolution.
• Supervise and mentor junior audit team members.
• Participate in ad-hoc reviews, investigations, and special projects.
