Dr Farid Medical Clinic in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, seeks a Doctor (Resident) to join our team. This full‑time position offers supervision by senior practitioners and opportunities to develop clinical skills in primary care leadership and patient management.

You will work under guidance while gaining experience in general practice, consultations, and medical decision‑making, supporting high standards of care.

Qualifications

• A Medical degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent) from a recognised medical school.
• Current and valid medical registration or licensure to practise in Malaysia.
• Completion of foundation year training or equivalent post-graduate medical experience.
• Strong clinical knowledge in general practice and primary healthcare.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while seeking guidance when needed.
• Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
• Understanding of patient safety principles and high clinical standards.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Malay/Sabahan languages is advantageous.
• Organisational and time management skills for multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient consultations and medical assessments.
• Perform clinical examinations and diagnostic procedures as required.
• Develop and implement treatment plans under supervision.
• Prescribe medications and treatments as per regulations.
• Maintain accurate medical records for all patients.
• Collaborate with senior staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide health education and preventative care advice.
• Assist with minor surgical procedures and wound management.
• Support clinic operations and uphold patient safety standards.
