RG Setia Care PLT in Rawang, Selangor, seeks a dedicated Resident Doctor to provide essential medical care in our general practice setting. This full-time position offers exposure to internal medicine and general practice within a supportive team.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, maintain medical records, and participate in ward rounds and on-call duties. Strong clinical knowledge and good English communication are essential; Malay proficiency is a plus.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent medical degree from a recognised institution.
• Current and valid medical licence to practise in Malaysia.
• Foundation or internship year(s) completed as required by local regulations.
• Strong clinical knowledge and practical competency in general medicine.
• Excellent diagnostic and clinical reasoning abilities.
• Effective communication with patients and healthcare teams.
• Proficiency in English; Malay language skills are desirable.
• Strong time management and ability to manage multiple patients.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and lifelong learning.

About the role

RG Setia Care PLT is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resident Doctor to join our medical team in Rawang, Selangor. This is a full-time position based at our healthcare facility, where you will provide essential medical care to our diverse patient population. As a Resident Doctor, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality clinical services whilst developing your expertise in general practice and internal medicine. Key responsibilities

Provide comprehensive medical assessments and diagnoses to patients across a range of acute and chronic conditions

Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs

Conduct thorough clinical examinations and maintain detailed, accurate medical records for all patient consultations

Collaborate with senior medical staff, nursing teams, and allied health professionals to ensure coordinated patient care

Perform routine clinical procedures and minor surgical interventions as appropriate to the general practice setting

Participate actively in ward rounds and case discussions to enhance clinical learning and knowledge sharing

Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on clinical outcomes

Maintain strict adherence to medical ethics, confidentiality standards, and regulatory requirements

Contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical practices and protocols within the facility

Undertake on‑call duties and emergency response responsibilities as scheduled

What we're looking for

A Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognised institution and registration with the Medical Council or equivalent regulatory body

Current and valid medical licence to practise as a doctor in Malaysia

Completion of foundation or internship year(s) as required by local medical regulations

Strong clinical knowledge and practical competency in general medicine and patient care

Excellent diagnostic and clinical reasoning abilities

Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues

Proficiency in written and spoken English; proficiency in Malay is highly desirable

Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple patients efficiently

Commitment to ongoing professional development and lifelong learning in medicine

Ability to work effectively within a team and adapt to a dynamic healthcare environment

Compassion, empathy, and patient‑centred approach to healthcare delivery

Previous experience in general practice or outpatient settings is advantageous
