Job summary

iCare Meditecq is seeking an experienced Doctor to join our primary healthcare team in Negeri Sembilan on a full-time basis. You will deliver high-quality medical care, maintain patient records, provide preventive services, and collaborate with nurses and staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.

About the role

iCare Meditecq is seeking an experienced and compassionate Doctor to join our healthcare team on a full-time basis at our facility in Bandar Sri Sendayan, Negeri Sembilan. As a Doctor, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality primary healthcare services to our diverse patient population. This position is central to our mission of providing accessible and comprehensive medical care, and you will be instrumental in maintaining the health and wellbeing of our community whilst contributing to the strategic objectives of iCare Meditecq.

Key responsibilities

• Conducting thorough patient consultations and clinical examinations to diagnose medical conditions and determine appropriate treatment plans
• Prescribing medications and medical treatments in accordance with clinical best practice and regulatory guidelines
• Maintaining accurate and comprehensive medical records for all patients, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations
• Providing preventative healthcare advice and health education to patients to promote wellness and disease prevention
• Managing chronic diseases and conditions through ongoing monitoring, follow-up care and patient support
• Referring patients to specialist services when necessary and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals
• Conducting routine health screenings and immunisations as appropriate
• Responding to medical emergencies and providing urgent care when required
• Collaborating with nursing staff and administrative personnel to ensure smooth clinic operations
• Staying current with medical developments and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the practice

What we're looking for

• A valid medical degree (MD or equivalent) and full registration with the Malaysian Medical Council
• Minimum of 2 years' clinical experience in general practice or primary healthcare settings
• Current and valid General Medical License to practice in Malaysia
• Strong clinical knowledge and diagnostic skills in managing a diverse range of acute and chronic conditions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients from varied backgrounds
• Proficiency in medical record systems and electronic health records (EHR) software
• A patient-centred approach to healthcare delivery with commitment to professional excellence
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Knowledge of current medical guidelines and evidence-based practice
• Preferred: Experience in occupational health or experience working in private healthcare settings
