Job summary

KLINIK PEKAN (VELAVON SDN BHD) seeks a qualified clinician to provide consultation, diagnosis and treatment for patients with acute and chronic medical conditions within a primary care setting. You will take histories, perform examinations, assess investigations and craft treatment plans while maintaining complete medical records and adhering to MOH guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation, diagnosis and treatment for patients presenting with acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Perform appropriate history taking and physical examinations.
• Assess patients and determine appropriate investigations and treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and provide appropriate medical advice according to clinical findings.
• Manage minor procedures and common primary care conditions where appropriate.
• Provide preventive healthcare, health screening and patient health education.
• Review and interpret laboratory and other diagnostic investigation results.
• Provide appropriate follow-up and continuity of care for patients.

Job description

Recognise cases requiring specialist or hospital referral and arrange appropriate referral when necessary.

Maintain accurate, complete and timely medical records and documentation.

Ensure compliance with relevant Ministry of Health (MOH), MMC and clinic policies and guidelines.

Maintain professional and ethical standards in all patient interactions.

Work collaboratively with clinic assistants, nurses and other healthcare team members.

Participate in clinic activities, health screening programmes and other medical services when required.

Ensure patient safety, confidentiality and a high standard of service at all times.

Assist in maintaining the overall efficiency and smooth operation of the clinic.
