CBRE, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to oversee maintenance, repair, overhaul, calibration, testing and commissioning of electrical equipment, and to locate cable faults.

You will work closely with regulatory bodies and site teams to ensure safety and compliance across 132kV installations; The role includes developing electrical procedures, assessing risks for critical activities, monitoring FMCS alarms, and supporting energy management and facilities operations.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer or similar.
• Certificate of Competency as a 132kV Electrical Engineer Competent Person from the Energy Commission.

JOB SUMMARY

Experience in carrying out the work in connection with maintenance and repair, overhaul and service, calibration, test and commission of equipment and location of cable faults.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate closely with TNB, specifically NLDC, in accordance with IOM procedures for electrical switching, ensuring the fulfillment of all notifications and electrical switching requirements.
• Provide assistance for LV and MV switching and maintain regulatory compliance by staying updated on relevant safety codes and operating procedures, with a focus on continuous improvement in operational safety.
• Coordinate major activities such as startup, commissioning, planned shutdowns, troubleshooting, and programmed maintenance, serving as a Subject Matter Expert for all electrical and power distribution systems.
• Participate in the development and revision of electrical-related procedures and specifications, ensuring the completion of risk assessments for critical activities.
• Monitor, evaluate, and analyze alarms triggered through the FMCS system.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory, legal, and EHS requirements in all areas, with a priority on human safety to foster a secure working environment.
• Conduct daily routine inspections and monitor the performance of 132kV installations, as well as conduct frequent site inspections of other electrical rooms.
• Assist in establishing Facilities competent persons for chargeman, wireman, and engineers.
• Participate in energy management and efficiency programs for the site.
• Provide support for other Facilities systems and operations as required.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent.
• At least 10 years of experience in the capacity of an Electrical Engineer or a comparable role.
• Hold a Certificate of Competency as a 132kV Electrical Engineer Competent Person from the Energy Commission.
