Job summary

Expansion International Group Limited is hiring for a Medical Video Remote Interpreter position. The role is fully remote, enabling English–Cantonese interpretation for US healthcare providers and patients via video, with occasional phone sessions. Training is provided and prior interpreting experience is a bonus rather than required.

Ideal candidates are bilingual, professional on camera, able to work in a quiet home workspace, and comfortable with night shifts aligned to US Eastern Time.

Qualifications

• Fluent, professional level verbal communication in both English and Cantonese.
• Able to interpret medical information accurately in both languages.
• Willingness to complete a proficiency assessment as part of selection.
• Comfortable working with video or telephone platforms and in US healthcare context.
• Pass background and drug screening; maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate video interpreting between English and Cantonese with occasional phone sessions.
• Maintain fidelity to meaning; follow ethics and company procedures.
• Protect confidentiality and comply with healthcare privacy requirements.
• Demonstrate cultural responsiveness and professional conduct on camera.
