Job summary

SME Careers is seeking a Malay Language Specialist to review and improve AI-generated Malay content. You will write high-quality Malay reference content, assess language quality, and provide detailed English feedback in a remote hourly contractor setting.

Responsibilities include creating prompts, evaluating AI outputs for fluency, tone, and cultural accuracy, and drafting model answers with best practices in Malay. Prior experience in AI data training or QA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Native or near-native Malay proficiency (reading and writing required).
• Strong professional proficiency in English (minimum C1).
• 3+ years of professional experience in writing, editing, localization, translation, content QA, journalism, education, or related language-focused work.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI Training Content: Create prompts and gold-standard Malay answers across multiple domains.
• Optimize AI Performance: Evaluate and rank AI outputs to improve fluency, tone, and cultural accuracy.
• Ensure Model Integrity: Detect unsafe content, factual inaccuracies, and bias; validate reliability across use cases.
