Job summary

SegWitz Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Backend Laravel Developer with 3–5 years experience to design and implement RESTful APIs and optimize database schemas for high performance. This remote position requires strong skills in PHP and the Laravel ecosystem, along with experience in SQL and MongoDB.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of backend development experience with strong hands-on experience in Laravel.
• Strong knowledge in PHP 7+ / 8+ and Laravel ecosystem.
• Experience with SQL databases and query optimization.
• Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop RESTful APIs using Laravel.
• Maintain database schemas and optimize queries for performance.
• Manage Laravel scheduled tasks and cron jobs.
• Ensure code quality and best practices in development.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and stakeholders.

Skills

Backend development experience with Laravel

Strong knowledge of PHP 7+/8+

SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and query optimization

Experience with MongoDB

Implementing cron jobs

Education
