Job summary

Boneybone Ventures Sdn Bhd is seeking a Backend Developer to design, implement, and test server-side components in Cyberjaya. You will work on ensuring robust PHP-based solutions, APIs, and data services while applying industry standards and best practices.

Ideal candidates have experience with Laravel or CodeIgniter, MySQL databases, and modern front-end integrations. This role emphasizes collaboration, timely delivery, and adherence to SDLC methodologies in client engagements.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree/Master in Computer Science, or a similar relevant field
• A minimum of 1–2 years of experience in designing and developing websites and apps
• Proficient in PHP, HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery
• Experience with PHP frameworks (Laravel, CodeIgniter, etc.)
• Excellent relational database skills with MySQL
• Experience with building RESTful JSON web services
• Knowledge of APIs such as Twitter, Facebook, Google Maps, Instagram, etc.
• Understanding of responsive design frameworks such as bootstrap

Responsibilities

• Solution Development and Delivery
• Assists in system design, coding, and testing of technical solutions.
• Applies knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to our clients.
• Ensure HTML, CSS, and shared JavaScript is valid and consistent across applications
• Utilize backend data services and contribute to increase existing data services API
• Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in web development
• Project Execution
• Understands project and development plans and is able to clearly articulate roles, project goals, and timelines
• Ensure all designs produced deliver great user experience
• Establishes responsible deadlines and personal work plans
• Competency with Programming tools such as Sublime Text, Trello, Asana, etc
• Coordinate with co-developers and keeps project manager well informed of the status of development effort and serves as liaison between development staff and project manager
