Job summary

Bowtie Life Insurance Company is seeking a frontend engineer to develop and ship customer-centric features for Bowtie's web applications. You will collaborate with product, design, data and engineering to take ideas from concept through testing and rollout, including our customer portal and insurance workflow systems.

You will drive the adoption of our design system across all apps, build accessible experiences, and remove friction for users.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in software engineering and ideally working across the entire development life-cycle.
Proficient with ReactJS or other modern JavaScript frameworks (VueJS, Angular).
Strong understanding of core web concepts, semantic HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Startup/product company experience is a plus but not required.
Self-motivated with ability to lead and own projects end-to-end.
Autonomy and responsibility for every detail of your work.

Responsibilities

Develop and ship customer-centric frontend features for Bowtie's web applications.
Collaborate with product, data, design and engineering from conception to rollout.
Work across portals including customer portal and insurance workflow systems.
Drive adoption of Bowtie's design system across apps and integrations.
Mentor and coach junior engineers in a senior capacity.
Build accessible, customer-centric web applications to support Bowtie's vision.
