Job summary

This role tasks a Diamond Driller to support exploration, resource definition, and mine development drilling programs in a remote Papua New Guinea site. You will work with geologists and maintenance teams to ensure safe operations, high core recovery, and efficient program delivery.

The position requires technical drilling certification, 3–5 years of experience, and the ability to operate in remote camp environments with rotating rosters.

Qualifications

• Technical certification or drilling certification is required.
• 3–5 years of professional diamond drilling experience.
• Experience with underground and/or surface drilling environments.
• Demonstrated ability to meet productivity and recovery targets.
• Experience in remote mine camp environments or rotational rosters.
• Strong safety discipline and compliance with site procedures.
• Good problem solving and communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and monitor diamond drill rigs for exploration and mine development.
• Achieve drilling targets, productivity, and performance objectives.
• Deliver high-quality core recovery per geological standards.
• Ensure proper core handling, sampling, and presentation.
• Inspect equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and manage consumables.
• Troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
• Identify hazards and implement safety controls on site.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with geologists, supervisors, and mining teams to execute programs.
• Support continuous improvement to enhance drilling performance and safety.
