Job summary

Kaya by Chemin Sdn Bhd is seeking fluent Cantonese-English transcription specialists for a short-term remote project. You will listen to Cantonese-English audio, transcribe accurately, segment speech, label speakers, and add simple annotations. Familiarity with medical terminology is essential.

Work remotely for about 4 hours daily over a 2‑month period (July 20 – September 2026). Onboarding occurs during GMT+8 office hours. Compensation is USD 0.10 per accepted task, with QC tasks also paid.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Cantonese and English, with medical terminology familiarity.
• Cantonese Jyutping keyboard proficiency.
• Strong listening and comprehension across accents.
• Detail-oriented with 95% accuracy target.
• Own laptop/desktop, headset, and stable internet connectivity.
• Able to manage time and meet deadlines.
• Willing to ask questions when unsure.
• Complete mandatory pre-assessment before onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Listen to Cantonese-English audio clips and transcribe them accurately.
• Segment audio into natural speech units.
• Identify and label speakers when multiple voices are present.
• Add simple annotations (e.g., gender, age group, emotion).
• Review and validate transcription quality through QC tasks, if assigned.
• Follow project guidelines to maintain high-quality outputs.
• Communicate actively with the Project Manager for clarifications.
• Complete assigned tasks within the project timeline.
