Job summary

Linde Group Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance & Reliability Engineer to ensure reliability, availability, and performance of critical plant equipment. You will lead reliability initiatives, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive maintenance excellence across operations in the Central Region.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze downtime, plan major maintenance activities, and travel to multiple sites to implement improvements while upholding safety and operational standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or plant engineering within manufacturing, industrial, oil & gas, or process plant environments.
• Strong knowledge of equipment reliability, preventive and predictive maintenance, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues and implement reliability improvements.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and project management skills with a systematic approach to work.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; able to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Self-driven, results-oriented and committed to safety, reliability and operational excellence.
• Willing to travel and support multiple sites within the Central Region.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment issues and lead root cause investigations to drive reliability improvements.
• Analyze downtime events and develop solutions to reduce recurring failures while controlling costs.
• Plan and support major maintenance activities, turnarounds and emergency repairs to keep critical equipment available.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering and suppliers to implement equipment improvements across sites.
• Provide engineering recommendations and support implementation of reliability initiatives across the Central Region.
