Job summary

2201 United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd is seeking a Relationship Officer-PV for Private Banking to build and nurture strong relationships with high-net-worth clients, delivering tailored financial solutions and driving business growth.

You will manage a portfolio, provide expert advice on deposits, loans, investments, and wealth planning, and collaborate with product specialists while maintaining full regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field; master's or CFA/ CFP desirable.
• 3-5 years of relationship management experience in banking/financial services, preferably Private Banking.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building client relationships.
• In-depth knowledge of financial products, investments, wealth management, and credit facilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of high-net-worth individual clients, understanding their financial needs and objectives.
• Develop and implement comprehensive wealth management strategies, including investment, financing, and succession planning.
• Proactively identify and acquire new Private Banking clients through referrals, networking, and direct engagement.
• Provide expert advice on a wide range of financial products and services, including deposits, loans, investments, insurance, and foreign exchange.
• Monitor market trends and economic conditions to provide timely and relevant financial insights to clients.
• Collaborate with product specialists and internal stakeholders to deliver integrated and holistic financial solutions.
• Ensure full compliance with all internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and prepare regular reports on portfolio performance and client activities.
• Represent the bank at client events and industry functions to enhance brand visibility and foster client relationships.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CFP) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in relationship management within the banking or financial services industry, preferably with exposure to Private Banking or high-net-worth clients.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strong client relationships.
• In-depth knowledge of financial products and services, including investment instruments, wealth management solutions, and credit facilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of integrity and strong ethical conduct.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Fluency in other languages (e.g., Mandarin) is an advantage.
