Job summary

United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd is seeking a proactive Relationship Manager to grow and manage an existing client portfolio in Malaysia. You will deliver tailored financial advice across deposits, loans, investments, and wealth products while driving cross-sell opportunities.

You will engage clients to understand objectives and risk, review portfolios, and collaborate with product and credit teams to ensure excellent service. Fluent English and Bahasa Malaysia are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (Master's degree or certifications advantageous).
• Minimum 3–5 years of relationship management experience in banking/financial services, retail focus preferred.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building client relationships.
• Excellent understanding of banking products, markets and investment principles.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Ability to understand client needs and provide tailored financial solutions.
• High integrity, professionalism and ethical conduct.
• Independent and a team player in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

• Stay updated on market trends, economic developments, and competitor activities to provide informed advice.
• Resolve client inquiries and issues efficiently and professionally.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., FIMM, CMSRL) will be an advantage.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in relationship management within the banking or financial services industry, preferably with a focus on retail or preferred banking segments.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strong client relationships.
• Excellent understanding of banking products, financial markets, and investment principles.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to understand client needs and provide tailored financial solutions.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required. Proficiency in other languages (e.g., Mandarin) is a plus.
