Job summary

Alliance Bank is seeking a Relationship Manager for Commercial Banking in Kuala Lumpur. You will develop new borrowing relationships, prepare and present credit applications, and coordinate with credit administration and legal teams to secure facilities and ensure timely drawdowns.

The role requires strong credit/risk analysis skills, sales capability, and excellent communication. You will manage client relationships, perform annual reviews, and conduct portfolio stress testing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in commercial banking credit and risk analysis.
• Proven sales management ability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and originate new borrowing relationships with in-depth client understanding and negotiation on facility structure, pricing, security and terms.
• Prepare and present a full set of credit applications for approval by the relevant authority.
• Coordinate with Group Credit Administration and Group Legal to issue Letters of Offer/Advice and perfect security documentation.
• Follow up on covenants and terms to ensure compliance and closure.
• Submit annual reviews on time.
• Ensure facilities are well utilized and accounts are well conducted.
• Conduct regular channel checks on client reputation in the market.
• Make frequent marketing calls for annual reviews, credit opportunities, and risk identification.
• Conduct quarterly stress tests of the existing portfolio.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and originate new borrowing relationships which involve in-depth understanding of the clients (Know Your Customer) and negotiation on key issues including but not limited to facility structure, pricing, security arrangement, covenants and terms and conditions.
• Prepare and present full set of credit application for approval by the relevant approving authority.
• Liaise closely with Group Credit Administration (GCA) and Group Legal to ensure timely issuance ofLetter of Offer or Letter of Advice, as the case may be, and perfection of relevant security documentation as per approved terms and conditions for swift facility implementation and drawdown.
• Closely follow up on covenants, terms and conditions imposed by approving authority to ensure compliance and closure.
• Ensure timely submission of annual review.
• Ensure facilities are well utilized and account is well conducted.
• Conduct regular channel checks on client's reputation in the market.
• Conduct regular marketing calls on existing clients for purpose of annual reviews, soliciting for credit and transaction banking opportunities, early risk identification, as the case may be.
• Conduct quarterly stress test of existing portfolio.
