Job summary

KPJ Healthcare Berhad is seeking a Registered Nurse to render professional nursing care within a hospital unit. The role involves shift duties, adherence to Nursing Services policies, and collaboration with doctors and the healthcare team.

The candidate must have a valid Malaysian Nursing Board license, Post Basic qualification, and at least 3 years of clinical experience, with certifications in BLS, ACLS, MTLS, PALS and NRP as applicable.

Qualifications

• Registered with the Nursing Board of Malaysia with a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Post Basic qualification in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized holistic nursing care using the Nursing Process.
• Report abnormal findings and patient progress to doctors/consultants.
• Conduct regular nursing rounds to identify additional needs.
• Assist doctors during procedures and follow medical orders.
• Delegate tasks to team members per assignments.
• Liaise with doctors on patient care in the unit/ward.
• Communicate effectively with all disciplines, patients and relatives.
• Attend unit meetings and participate in hospital activities.
• Contribute to health education for patients and families.
• Assist Unit Manager in shift-nurse in charge duties.
• Set standards for quality of care in absence of Unit Manager.
• Record equipment/consumables charges and ensure stock.
• Check and document sterile pack supplies.
