Job summary

Hilti Malaysia is seeking a proactive Demand/Supply Planning professional to manage finished goods flow and optimise inventory and service levels across market locations. You will collaborate with Demand Planning and Market Organisations, release POs, and lead reconciliation calls to ensure product availability and cost-effective operations.

The role requires 2–5 years in demand/supply planning, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and strong SAP/Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years Demand/Supply Planning experience.
• Bachelor degree in planning, operations, logistics, or related field.
• Proficient in SAP R3 – DRP, Inventory Modules, and Data Management.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel for building reports.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and proactive mindset.
• Assertive execution and follow-up skills.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
• Proficient PC software including MS Office.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks daily.
• Cross-functional and cross-cultural collaboration with a customer mindset.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Demand Planning and Market Organisations to manage product portfolio.
• Release purchasing orders to ensure availability and optimal inventory.
• Manage inventory shortages with cost-efficient actions.
• Ensure supply aligns with BU annual plan and forecasts.
• Lead Demand and Supply Reconciliation calls.
• Support monthly Market S&OP meetings.
• Oversee on-time execution of new product launches.
• Minimise obsolescence through tight controls and supplier returns.
• Own inventory positioning, MOQ negotiation, and portfolio pruning.
• Contribute to Phase In/Phase Out with customer satisfaction.
• Master data creation for APO/JDA and SAP master data.
• Support KPI achievement (availability, days of stock, lead time).
• Monitor performance indicators and report to senior management.
• Support continuous improvement projects.
• Leverage SAP and Hilti processes to enhance supply chains.
• Assist team members with other duties as needed.
