Job summary

ABB's Energy Industries Division in Asia Pacific invites an experienced Service Manager to lead the regional service organization, drive P&L performance, and implement service strategy at the unit level.

Based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, this hybrid/onsite role demands strategic leadership of service engineers, cross-functional collaboration, and a focus on customer satisfaction, productivity, and continuous improvement in HSE and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, power electronics, or equivalent.
• 12+ years in service management within power generation and Oil & Gas industries.
• Proven experience driving service strategies with P&L responsibility.
• Experience leading a group of service engineers and managing service jobs.
• Fluent in English with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; willingness to travel across region.

Responsibilities

• Create and drive implementation of service strategy as a management-team member.
• Ensure plans are implemented consistently in the service organization through collaboration with other businesses.
• Drive, implement, report, and monitor performance targets as part of the unit P&L (financial, productivity, investments, customer satisfaction, operational excellence).
• Run the day-to-day service business with proper resource planning for profitable growth and productivity.
• Invest in improving existing service products and developing new ones to expand the portfolio per global direction.
• Drive continuous improvement in HSE and quality to achieve service excellence in your area.
• Build sustainable customer relationships to ensure growth, satisfaction, and retention with sales.
