Job summary

Alibaba Cloud seeks a Fire Protection Engineer to oversee fire safety programs across sites in the Johor region. You will drive inspections, corrective actions, training, and continuous improvement to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Responsibilities include developing regional checklists, leading fire drills, incident investigations, and keeping up with changing fire safety laws and standards within the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant field.
• At least 1 year of relevant fire safety management experience in large enterprises, data centers, or similar.
• Solid understanding of fire protection standards and data center fire safety systems.
• Familiarity with local fire safety laws and standards; relevant regional certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and inspect fire protection systems across sites and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Develop and review regional fire safety inspection checklists and tracking mechanisms.
• Deliver fire safety training to on-site personnel and organize emergency drills.
• Monitor compliance status and produce periodic reports for sites.
• Supervise service providers during drills and recommend improvements.
• Lead investigations of fire-related incidents and produce root cause analyses and preventive actions.
• Review maintenance plans and test reports submitted by providers.
• Track changes in fire safety laws and implement updated standards and procedures.
