The Regional Financial Controller SEA is responsible for overseeing all financial operations within South East Asia. This includes managing financial reporting, treasury management within the region, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies. The role plays a critical part in providing strategic financial guidance to regional management and optimizing financial performance to support business growth and profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial operations within SEA and provide day-to-day financial services to the Isentia SEA business
- Manage and oversee day-to-day operations of SEA Corporate Finance team, including management and business reporting such as accounts payable, month-end, Opex, cash flow, balance sheet, and other financial reporting required by local governments.
- Review and optimize key Financial Control processes, including intercompany reporting. Roll out group internal control processes in SEA.
- Actively manage the SEA treasury function to optimize liquidity and ensure efficient working capital management
- Safeguard SEA cash and manage SEA bank accounts efficiently. Ensure all bank reconciliations are completed monthly and accurately.
- Maintain an accurate daily cash book and a rolling 6-month cash flow forecast.
- Ensure SEA tax compliance, mitigate and escalate Asia tax risks
- Ensure accurate preparation and timely filing of all tax documents and payments.
- Escalate any tax risks, technical matters, or legislative developments.
- Assist the Global Finance Shared Services Director with complex tax transactions.
- Implement regional transfer pricing methodologies advised by the Group, and assist with intercompany recharge calculations.
- Ensure timely production of SEA Statutory Accounts and other ad-hoc reports
- Coordinate the year-end closing, reconciliations, and audits with external auditors.
- Lead and manage a high-performing team
- Ensure compliance with Isentia policies and local statutory requirements
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Business or Finance, with a professional accounting qualification such as CA or CPA.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, experience in preparing financial statements.
- Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, including 5 years in a management role.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Solution-oriented mindset.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Experience with large ERP Finance systems is advantageous.
- IT literate, quick to adapt to new technologies. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains/NAVISION is preferred but not essential.
- Multilingual with strong professional communication skills.
