Job summary

KiN Career is seeking a seasoned Finance Controller to oversee the company’s financial operations in Malaysia. You will ensure regulatory compliance, deliver timely financial reporting, and partner with the Head of Finance on strategic planning and decision-making.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, internal controls, and cross-functional FP&A across Malaysia, Singapore & Vietnam, while driving efficiency and integration of finance processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA/ACCA preferred.
• 5–10 years in finance, with 2–5 years in a Controller/Manager role.
• Audit experience from Big 4 or top-tier network; led statutory audits.
• Strong knowledge of FRS/IFRS and Singapore requirements.
• Hands-on with accounting software and Excel/financial modeling.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
• Strategic thinker who translates data into insights.
• Strong communication with Head of Finance and senior management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure general ledger accuracy, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Produce management reporting, variance analysis, and insights.
• Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.
• Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Monitor cash positions and manage banking relationships.
• Coordinate audits and implement audit recommendations.
• Lead financial due diligence for M&A and strategic investments.
• Develop SOPs and automate reporting; oversee finance workflows.
