Job summary

Weatherford is seeking an Ethics Compliance Counsel to implement the company’s ethics and compliance policies across the Asia GeoZone from its Kuala Lumpur office.

The role reports to the Assistant General Counsel, Global Ethics, and provides day-to-day legal guidance to business leaders and functions in areas including anti-bribery, conflicts of interest, FCPA, human rights, supplier codes, and investigations.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with law degree and Bar/qualification.
• Experience in Ethics & Compliance or Corporate/Regulatory function.
• Experience in Oil & Gas or regulated industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day ethics and compliance guidance to Asia GeoZone.
• Interpret Weatherford Code of Conduct and global policies.
• Lead or support internal investigations into ethics issues.
• Conduct third-party due diligence on agents and partners.
• Support compliance risk assessments, audits, and regional activities.
• Assist localization of global ethics policies to local laws.
