Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a Regional Compliance Officer to lead and continuously improve the APAC compliance framework across East Asia, ASEAN, and Pacific. You will partner with senior leaders to translate global standards into region-specific guidance and drive risk mitigation.

The role requires 12–15 years in compliance, legal, or risk management, JD or equivalent, and fluent English. You will work from Kuala Lumpur, collaborating with cross-functional teams and supporting investigations,

Qualifications

• 12-15 years of experience in compliance, legal, or risk management.
• Subject matter expert in compliance areas such as anticorruption or broader regulatory compliance.
• Fluency in English (written and oral).

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted compliance partner embedded in the region to advise senior management on compliance risks, controls, and remediation strategies.
• Coordinate with subject matter experts to perform risk assessments and ensure mitigation actions are implemented and tracked.
• Translate global standards into region-specific guidance for APAC operations, including anticorruption, sanctions, export controls, trade, and antitrust.
• Reduce friction to enable faster, better-informed decision-making.
• Support internal investigations with intake, fact-finding, documentation, and remediation in coordination with Legal and HR.
• Develop and deliver compliance training and awareness programs for APAC employees and external parties.
• Lead or support post-acquisition integration activities from a compliance perspective.
• Monitor APAC compliance trends and recommend policy and control improvements.

As a Regional Compliance Officer at Honeywell, you will leading and continuously improving the company’s compliance framework within APAC, with responsibility for three Honeywell Operating Regions: East Asia, ASEAN, and Pacific.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a trusted compliance partner embedded in the region to be closer to the day‑to‑day business activities. Advise senior management and business leaders on compliance risks, controls, and remediation strategies in a practical, business‑focused manner
• The connector that will align the right compliance & regulatory experts to the table at the right time. Partner with subject matter experts to execute and communicate compliance risk assessments and ensure mitigation plans are effectively implemented and tracked
• A practical advisor who helps translate global standards into clear, region‑specific guidance. Assess, monitor, and mitigate legal and compliance risks specific to APAC operations, including anticorruption, sanctions, export controls, trade, and antitrust
• A regional partner focused on reducing friction and enabling decision‑making that is faster and better informed
• Support internal investigations, including allegation intake, fact‑finding, documentation, and remediation, in coordination with Legal, HR, and other relevant functions
• Develop, tailor, and deliver compliance training and awareness programs for employees and relevant external parties in APAC
• Lead or support post‑acquisition integration activities from a compliance perspective, including remediation and audit closing actions
• Track internal and external compliance trends in APAC and proactively recommend enhancements to policies, controls, and processes
• Act as a trusted advisor and visible compliance leader within the APAC organization

Key Experience & Capabilities:

• 12-15 years of relevant experience in compliance, legal, or risk management
• Significant experience as a compliance subject matter expert, whether that is specific expertise in one area, e.g., anticorruption or broader regulatory compliance matters
• Fluency in English (written and oral)

• Experience working in APAC in a multinational corporate environment and/or leading APAC compliance programs
• Experience in a major law firm, regulatory body, or corporate legal/compliance department
• Strong initiative, resilience, and ability to navigate complex and sensitive situations
• Excellent communication, training, and stakeholder‑management skills
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams
