Responsibilities

  • Lead and optimize AR, credit management, and credit insurance across APAC.
  • Ensure timely invoicing, monitor billing, and allocate cash collections.
  • Maintain customer master data in TMS and accounting systems.
  • Oversee credit control policies and monitor regional credit exposures.
  • Negotiate payment plans and oversee debt collection.
  • Develop regional dashboards, KPIs and reporting for senior management.
  • Coach local Finance Managers and AR teams; promote process standardization.

Job description

The Regional Accounts Receivable & Credit Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing the Accounts Receivable, Credit Management, and Credit Insurance functions across the Asia Pacific region.

Reporting directly to the ASPAC CFO, the role ensures effective cash collection, disciplined credit risk management, strong working capital performance, and consistent application of Group policies across all APAC entities. The position serves as the regional subject matter expert on receivables management, customer credit risk, and trade credit insurance.

The scope
  • Asia Pacific countries (10 countries currently)
The key responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely and accurate customer invoicing across all APAC entities.
  • Monitor billing performance and drive corrective actions when delays occur.
  • Oversee the creation, maintenance, and accuracy of customer master data within TMS and accounting systems.
  • Ensure proper recording of customer receipts and accurate allocation of cash collections to customer accounts.
  • Monitor disputed invoices and coordinate resolution with operations, finance, and commercial teams.
  • Implement and maintain regional credit control policies and ensure alignment between regional practices and Group credit policies.
  • Oversee the monitoring of customer outstanding balances and credit exposures at regional level.
  • Collect debts, negotiate payment plans, and ensure timely payments.
  • Animate and lead regular regional credit and overdue balance reviews, ensuring consistent follow-up, escalation and action plans.
  • Ensure appropriate bad debt provisioning and support periodic credit risk assessments.
Credit Insurance
  • Act as the main interface in ASPAC with credit insurers/brokers, ensuring optimal coverage, limits allocation, claims management and policy compliance.
  • Monitor insurer decisions and proactively manage limit adequacy in line with business needs.
  • Train regional finance and sales team on the proper usage of credit insurance (customer selection, risk monitoring, declaration of credit default)
  • Develop and implement customer credit and receivables dashboards at regional and local level.
  • Define relevant KPIs (DSO, overdue balances, credit utilization, blocked orders, etc.).
  • Provide clear, actionable reporting to senior management and finance leadership.
Leadership & Governance
  • Ensure consistent application of the Group Credit Management Policy across all countries.
  • Act as the regional center of expertise for Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, and Credit Insurance matters.
  • Support and coach local Finance Managers and AR teams.
  • Promote best practices, process standardization, and internal control compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement and digitalization initiatives within the order-to-cash process.

Requirement
  • Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Management, or Working Capital Management.
  • Prior experience in a regional or multinational environment.
  • Experience within logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, or trade-related industries is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to credit insurance management is preferred.
