Job summary

Mandarin Oriental, Desaru Coast is seeking a lively Recreation Agent to support the daily operations of our sports and leisure facilities, ensuring guests receive exceptional service, safety, and enjoyment. You will assist in organizing activities, maintaining equipment, and promoting a fun, safe guest experience, while coordinating with Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering and Security.

The ideal candidate has a high school certificate or diploma in sports or hospitality, good communication

Qualifications

High school certificate or equivalent; diploma in sports, recreation, hospitality or related field is an advantage.
Previous experience in sports, recreation, hospitality or customer service preferred.
Lifeguard or fitness certifications are an added advantage (if applicable).

Responsibilities

Assist in the daily operation of pools, beach areas, tennis courts and other venues.
Welcome guests and provide information on activities and experiences.
Ensure recreational areas are clean, safe and well‑maintained at all times.
Set up, operate and maintain sports equipment and facilities before, during and after guest use.
Support the organisation of existing and new recreational activities and events.
Monitor guest participation to ensure safety and adherence to rules.
Report maintenance issues or hazards to supervisor or engineering.
Collaborate with Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering and Security for smooth operations.
