Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a diligent Security Monitoring Officer for an office-based role in its Security Command Centre in Kuala Lumpur. You will monitor CCTV in real-time, execute remote surveillance, detect incidents, and respond according to escalation procedures.

Responsibilities include performing access control, verifying credentials, logging activities, and preparing reports for Management. Training will be provided for beginners, and teamwork is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Proficient with computers and security systems (VMS, access control, visitor management).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to read, write and speak English.
• Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently or in a team.
• Able to multi-task and handle detail-oriented tasks.
• Calm, professional under pressure; strong situational judgement.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV systems in real-time to identify suspicious activities or system anomalies.
• Execute remote surveillance and monitoring according to schedule and log completion.
• Detect and respond to incidents per escalation procedures.
• Perform access control by verifying credentials and authorising/denying entry remotely.
• Perform remote attendance taking for employees on site.
• Prepare and submit reports required by Management.
• Any other duties as assigned by Management.
