Job summary

Dr Farid Medical Clinic in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah seeks a dedicated Radiographer to join the medical imaging team on a full-time basis. You will operate a range of imaging equipment, ensure high-quality images, and uphold patient safety and confidentiality.

The ideal candidate will hold a recognised radiography qualification, be registered with Malaysia’s regulator, and bring clinical radiography experience. A patient-centred approach and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in radiography or medical imaging technology.
• Current registration or professional accreditation with the relevant regulatory body in Malaysia
• Proven experience working as a Radiographer in a clinical setting, preferably in a private healthcare environment
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and imaging protocols
• Strong proficiency in operating modern diagnostic imaging equipment
• Excellent understanding of radiation safety principles and infection control procedures
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality diagnostic images
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clinical teams
• Patient-centred approach with the ability to reassure and support anxious or distressed patients
• Professional demeanour and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and patient privacy
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain medical imaging equipment, including X-ray machines, ultrasound systems, and other diagnostic imaging devices
• Position patients safely and correctly to obtain high-quality diagnostic images whilst minimising radiation exposure
• Follow strict radiation safety protocols and adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of imaging procedures and patient information
• Communicate effectively with patients to ensure their comfort, explain procedures, and address any concerns or anxieties
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure diagnostic accuracy and clinical relevance
• Perform routine maintenance and quality assurance checks on imaging equipment
• Keep up to date with developments in medical imaging technology and best practice guidelines
• Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the imaging department and equipment
