Job summary

EDP APAC in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Accountant to support the Record-to-Report process in a global shared services environment. You will post journal entries, ensure IFRS/SFRS compliance, and collaborate with AP, AR, Tax, and Treasury to deliver accurate financial data.

You will assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings and contribute to management reporting. We value a 2–4 year accounting background, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with SAP or Oracle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in shared services or GBS.
• Strong IFRS/SFRS knowledge and financial reporting experience.
• Experience with SAP or Oracle and advanced Excel skills.]

Responsibilities

• Post journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Ensure IFRS/SFRS compliance and accurate financial recording.
• Collaborate with AP/AR, Tax, and Treasury to resolve data discrepancies.
• Assist with accruals, provisions and adjusting entries during close.
• Support management reporting and inter-company reconciliations.
