Halliburton Energy Services (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an entry-level Electrical Technician to join our Sperry Drilling Services team in Malaysia. You will perform repairs, calibration, and inspections on down-hole tool electronics under supervision to ensure safe and reliable operations.

Ideal candidates hold a technical school certificate (associate degree preferred) and are eager to develop skills in mechanical and electronic instrumentation within a global energy leader.

Qualifications

• Requires a technical school certificate or equivalent.
• Associate degree or higher is preferred.
• Experience with down-hole tool electronics is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Perform repairs, preventive maintenance, calibration, and inspections on down-hole tool electronics and related equipment.
• Ensure duties are performed safely, efficiently, and effectively.
• Work in areas of PSL equipment assembly/disassembly and measurement while drilling tools.
• Work under supervision as part of the field service team.

Job Duties

• Under strict supervision, performs repairs, preventative maintenance, calibration, and inspections on down-hole tool electronics and other equipment used in the application for down-hole tools, including Directional/ RSS or M/LWD sensors.
• Responsible for ensuring duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
• Areas of specialization may include: mechanical aptitude, electronics aptitude, computer skills, assembly and disassembly of tools associated with PSL equipment, or Measure while drilling and/or Logging While Drilling down-hole tools.
• Requires a technical school certificate, or equivalent.
• An associate degree or higher is preferred.

Qualifications

"Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1)their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs. Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available, including “R&M Electrical Tech II”, or “R&M Electrical Tech III”.
