Job summary

Unigra Food Processing Asia Pacific is seeking a motivated intern or contract trainee to assist a research team in product development. You will work in the laboratory to develop prototypes, maintain accurate records, and support the R&D process from prototype to potential industrialization in a team or autonomous setting.

The role welcomes fresh graduates and those pursuing a degree in Food Technology or related fields.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is required or currently ongoing.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in R&D is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop prototypes in the laboratory to achieve goals in a team or with minimal supervision.
• Report all test and development processes and results.
• Use computer to keep accurate files, perform research tasks via the internet, and help design project requirements.
• Ensure sample, equipment, and raw materials are handled correctly.
• Recognize when test results are not meeting expectations and notify the supervisor.
• Assist R&D team from prototype development to industrialization.
• Compute formulas, percentages or production specific factors using mathematical procedures.
• Operate laboratory and pilot plant equipment.
• Keep the laboratory, instruments and pilot plants clean before and after use.
• Organize equipment, procedures and set up the laboratory, and contribute to create procedures including safety in working areas and pilot plants.

Education

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Science & Nutrition, Culinary Arts, Chemistry, Biology or equivalent

About you

• Possess or currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Science & Nutrition, Culinary Arts, Chemistry, Biology or equivalent

• Able to commit to a 3–4 months contract or internship
