Job summary

Unigra Food Processing Asia Pacific in Malaysia seeks an enthusiastic intern to support our R&D laboratory in Pasir Gudang, Johor. You will assist with prototype development, data collection, and project planning under supervision.

This 3-4 month internship welcomes fresh graduates studying Food Technology, Science & Nutrition, Culinary Arts, Chemistry or Biology. It offers hands-on experience in a dynamic food processing environment and collaboration with the R&D team.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology / Science & Nutrition / Culinary Arts / Chemistry / Biology or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in R&D Fields is an advantage.
• Able to commit to a 3-4 months contract / internship.

Responsibilities

• Prototype development in the laboratory to achieve goals in team or with minimal supervision.
• Report all test and development processes and results.
• Use computer to keep accurate files and perform research tasks online; help design project requirements.
• Handle samples, equipment and raw materials correctly.
• Notify supervisor if test results do not meet expectations.
• Assist R&D from prototype development to industrialization.
• Compute formulas, percentages or production factors.
• Operate laboratory and pilot plant equipment.
• Keep the laboratory and instruments clean before and after use.
• Organize equipment, procedures and set up the laboratory; contribute to lab procedures and safety.

Job Description

• Prototypes development in the laboratory to achieve all goals in team or in autonomy with minimal supervision.
• Report all the test and development processes and results
• Able to use computer to keep accurate files, perform research tasks using the internet, and help to design project requirements.
• Be responsible for making sure the sample, equipment, and any raw materials are handled correctly.
• Recognize when test results are not meeting expectations and notify the supervisor.
• Assist R&D team from prototype development to industrialization.
• Compute formulas, percentages or production specific factors using mathematical procedures.
• Operate laboratory and pilot plant equipment.
• Keeping the laboratory, instruments and pilot plants clean before and after it is used.
• Organize equipment, procedures and set up the laboratory. Contribute to create the procedures of the laboratory and the establishment and implementation of processing activities, including safety, in the areas of working and pilot plants
