Job summary

Emersive Sdn Bhd in Selangor, Petaling Jaya, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to assist R&D Process Engineer with product testing, development, and documentation. You will prepare samples, record tests, and support experiments while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate holds a diploma or degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials, has 1–3 years lab experience, and can work independently or in a team with strong attention to detail and good record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or related field.
• 1–3 years of laboratory experience (fresh graduates may be considered).
• Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and good documentation practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to follow instructions or procedure strictly.

Responsibilities

• Assist R&D Process Engineer to perform and coordinate product testing and development, with other departmental personnel if required.
• Work together with process engineer/technical manager to develop and evaluate formulas for new products and/or product improvements.
• Ensure clear channels of communication and daily feedback to stay updated on operating activities.
• Plan, set up and undertake controlled experiments and trials.
• Record tests, analyses and report the results.
• Maintain equipment in proper working order and keep a clean work area.
• Prepare and arrange customer samples as necessary.
• Develop and/or assist others in developing laboratory procedures.
