One Belian Seed PLT in Malaysia seeks an experienced R&D Governance & Portfolio Manager to establish and maintain a robust governance framework ensuring alignment of innovation investments with corporate strategy. The role drives Stage-Gate processes, project management standards, knowledge management, and performance reporting across R&D activities.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline
• 12-15 years of experience in R&D, Innovation Management, PMO, Strategy, or Portfolio Management within the FMCG, Food & Beverage, Consumer Goods, or related industries
• Minimum 10 years leading cross-functional strategic projects
• Demonstrated experience implementing Stage-Gate or similar innovation governance systems
• Proven experience in project portfolio management and executive reporting
• Strong understanding of innovation lifecycle management and organizational governance
• Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Innovation Management, Engineering Management, or Project Management is preferred
• Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent certifications are advantageous
• Experience in ASEAN or international business environments is desirable

Responsabilidades

• Develop and continuously improve the R&D Governance Framework, policies, standards, and operating procedures
• Manage the company's innovation portfolio to maximize strategic value and optimize investment decisions
• Design and implement a standardized Stage-Gate process for all innovation and technology projects
• Develop a structured Project Management Office to improve project execution
• Ensure R&D activities remain aligned with corporate strategy and translate corporate strategy into R&D priorities
• Design R&D KPIs and develop executive dashboards to monitor organizational performance
• Optimize utilization of people, budgets, laboratories, and technical capabilities
• Develop R&D risk management processes and maintain project risk registers
• Develop R&D knowledge management systems and establish document control standards
• Implement Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools and support digital transformation of R&D management

The R&D Governance & Portfolio Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust governance framework that enables efficient, transparent, and disciplined management of the company's R&D portfolio. This role ensures that innovation investments are aligned with corporate strategy, business priorities, and organizational capabilities while driving consistency across R&D processes, decision-making, project execution, and performance measurement. The incumbent serves as the operational backbone of the R&D organization by implementing governance policies, portfolio management methodologies, Stage-Gate processes, project management standards, knowledge management systems, and performance reporting. Working closely with the Head of R&D and cross-functional stakeholders, the role ensures that resources are allocated effectively, risks are proactively managed, and innovation initiatives deliver measurable business value.

About you
