Job summary

Sphere Corporation Sdn Bhd is seeking a highly motivated R&D Engineer/Research Associate to support researchers in conducting R&D projects and contributing to research ideas.

The candidate should read and communicate information from findings and literature, with a strong command of English. Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office is beneficial, and findings should be communicated clearly within the research unit.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:1 (Second Class Upper Honours) in Masters Degree or higher in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Chemical Engineering or related fields.
• Masters or Doctorate is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Research Scientists in conducting R&D projects and supporting activities.
• Conduct literature searches and assimilate data for reports and presentations.
• Identify suppliers/materials for research and company needs.
• Contribute to design, execution, and interpretation of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
• Contribute to design, execution, and interpretation of prototypes.
• Prepare and present project deliverables.

Sphere Corporation Sdn Bhd is seeking for a highly motivated, qualified and dynamic R&D Engineer/Research Associate to join our Research Unit. The primary role would be to assist Research Scientists in conducting research and development projects including supporting activities and contributing to research ideas.

The candidate must be able to read, assimilate and communicate information from findings or literature search. Good command of English is a must. Being technically strong or able to pick up technical matters will be helpful.

You will be working with our research team:

Conducting search, assimilating data and communicating information from literature and other form of search

Conducting search for suppliers/materials and other supporting activities for research and company

Contributing to the design, execution, and interpretation of research across a variety of quantitative and qualitative methodologies

Contributing to the design, execution, and interpretation of prototypes across a variety of quantitative and qualitative methodologies

Performing any other ad-hoc duties, as assigned

Preparing and presenting project deliverables

Qualifications

Minimum 2:1 (Second Class Upper Honours) in Masters Degree or higher in either the following fields:

• a) Mechanical Engineering
• b) Manufacturing Engineering
• c) Chemical Engineering
• d) Related fields to the above in Engineering

(Masters or Doctorate is preferred)

Has research experience either in the University or in professional setting (preferred)

Experienced with quantitative and qualitative study, design, data collection, and analysis.

Proficient in MS Office and other tools. Proficient in AutoCAD will be helpful.

Demonstrates strong verbal and written communications skills
