Job summary

Synthomer plc is seeking a R&D-focused role in Malaysia to contribute to new product development and process improvement projects. The role involves experimental work, data collection and analysis to assess feasibility, and documenting findings for internal review.

You will participate in safety-conscious testing, collaborate with supervisors, and help advance innovative solutions within a global polymers business. Training and development are offered as part of our global team.

Responsibilities

• Identify, report on and improve safety related issues in intermediate working environment using available tools and systems.
• Support innovation project development and plant-scale up initiated by supervisor.
• Plan, engage in, and conduct tests and experiments in structural approaches to ensure delivery of project on time.
• Observe, analyse, and interpret complex analytical datasets.
• Document findings in technical report and communicate results to supervisor.
• Support development of new test method to strengthen innovation competitiveness.
• Support review of related patent monitoring in Intellectual Property practices.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures and standards.
