Job summary

GOODNITE SDN. BHD. is seeking an Assistant Manager R&D for Mattress Product to oversee daily R&D operations, drive new product development, and collaborate with Production, Quality, Sales, and suppliers. You will evaluate materials, guide the R&D team, and contribute to quality improvements and cost reduction.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields, 3–5 years in R&D, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent teamwork. Mandarin-speaking candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in research and development or product development.
• Knowledge of mattress construction, foam, spring systems, fabrics, and related materials.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills; Mandarin-speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the daily operations of the R&D department.
• Lead new product development and improve existing mattress products.
• Evaluate and test new raw materials and components.
• Coordinate product development projects and ensure they are completed on time.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, Sales, Purchasing, and suppliers.
• Provide technical support for production and resolve product-related issues.
• Improve product quality and manufacturing processes.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction without affecting product quality.
• Conduct product testing and prepare technical reports and product specifications.
• Support continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.
• Train and guide R&D team members when required.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
