Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Quantity Surveyor (QS) in Civil Engineering for a role in Penang, George Town. The candidate will assist with cost control, tender preparation and contract management on ongoing civil projects.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Malaysians only, own transport (motorcycle) is preferred. This position requires attention to cost forecasting, tendering and site coordination.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with tendering, cost planning and contract management preferred.
• Malaysian nationality and willingness to work in Penang, George Town.

Responsibilities

• Predict potential risks and mitigate them.
• Forecast costs for resources and prepare budgets.
• Prepare tender documents, contracts and Bills of Quantities.
• Manage tenders, contract conditions and assembly of tender documents.
• Provide contract management and contractual advice.
• Value construction works and manage claims and disputes.
• Ensure timely payments to subcontractors, vendors and suppliers.
• Attend site briefings.

• Contract management & contractual advice
• Valuation of construction workClaims & dispute management
• Timely payment to subcontractors, vendors, suppliers etc.
