Job summary

Flex is seeking a Quality Engineer in Prai, Penang to strengthen inspection standards and drive reliability across production lines.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 4 years in high-tech electronics, with strong math and data-analysis skills. Hands-on with testing equipment, PCB work and quality processes, you will support audits and regulatory liaison while mentoring others and ensuring data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 4 years of engineering experience in high tech electronics or related field.
• Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts and statistics.
• Ability to perform frequency distribution, reliability/validity analyses, ANOVA.
• Interpret complex technical instructions and variables.
• Familiarity with electronic assembly, PCB operations and testing equipment.
• Experience with corrective actions, audits and quality processes.
• Knowledge of Flex policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop standards for inspection, testing and evaluation.
• Devise sampling procedures and forms for recording quality data.
• Implement methods for disposition of discrepant material and cost assessment.
• Direct workers in measuring and testing product quality.
• Prepare training materials and conduct quality training sessions.
• Coordinate with Product Engineers and QA Managers on issues.
• Ensure data availability and integrity for quality data; report results.
• Initiate corrective action requests and track completion.
• Assist with development and implementation of quality audits.
• Develop and maintain quality standards for materials to finished products.
• Design methods to inspect and evaluate production equipment.
• Evaluate reports and returns; propose corrective action.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies as needed.
