Job summary

Prudential plc is seeking an experienced professional for a senior role in Technology Risk and IT Operations in Kuala Lumpur. The role focuses on governance, risk assessments, and compliance across digital projects and external partners.

Responsibilities include stakeholder management, policy development, third-party risk management, and coordinating audits with the Technology Operations leadership. A strong background in risk, compliance, and IT operations is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Technology Risk / IT Operations.
• Certifications: CISA / CISSP / CRISC / CISM.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive relationships with business by initiating partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure that systems, procedures, and methodologies are in place with relevant controls.
• Conduct risk assessments on digital projects, existing systems, and third parties to identify potential risks and recommend action plans to mitigate them.
• Ensure compliance reviews on control effectiveness in line with established policies and regulations.
• Assist in developing policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure safety of IT assets.
• Support Head of Technology Operations to ensure effective technology risk oversight and governance; assist regulators in inspections and consultations.
• Perform Third Party Risk Management and due diligences on 3rd party vendors.
• Conduct thematic reviews of Technology Operations Processes and implement controls with Tower Leads.
• Manage internal and external Audits touching Global Technology Operations and align on processes and artefacts.

Job Responsibilities

• Customer Relationship and Stakeholder Management: Maintaining positive relationships with business by Initiating important partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Process Improvement: Ensuring that systems, procedures, and methodologies are in place with relevant controls.

• Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments on digital projects, existing systems, and third parties to identify potential risks and recommend action plans to mitigate them.

• Compliance Review: Ensure compliance with established policies and applicable regulations by conducting compliance reviews on control effectiveness.

• Policy Development: Assist in developing policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure the safety of IT assets in adherence to business needs, industrial best practices, and regulatory requirements.

• Governance Support: Support the Head of Technology Operations to ensure effective technology risk oversight and governance. Regulatory Support: Assist the technology teams in their interactions with regulators, including inspections, surveys, and consultation papers.

• Third Party Risk Management – Ensure Third Party Risk Management in line with policies and conduct Due Diligences on 3rd party vendors.

• Attestation / Assurance – Conduct thematic reviews of Technology Operations Processes, identify lapses and implement controls together with the Tower Leads

• Audits – Managing internal and external Audits touching Global Technology Operations and ensure alignment on Process / artefacts and potential observations.

Qualifications

• Education: A relevant degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Computer Science, Business, Information Technology,

• Engineering, or related fields with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Technology Risk / IT Operations. Certifications: CISA / CISSP / CRISC / CISM
