Job summary

Blum Asia Pacific in Malaysia is seeking a Production Operator (Packaging) to support daily packaging operations. You will prepare materials, operate packaging equipment, and ensure finished goods are packed accurately, safely, and per quality standards.

You will work closely with the shift leader and other teams to achieve daily output targets, maintain a clean 5S workstation, and follow SOPs for labeling, packing, and changeovers. 12-hour shifts, Monday to Saturday, may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM / Certificate in Manufacturing, Production, or related field.
• Preferably 1–2 years of experience in packaging, assembly, or a manufacturing line environment.
• Ability to read production orders, packaging instructions, and product and work specifications.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, Monday to Saturday, and overtime when required.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Basic math skills (counting, simple calculations, quantity verification).
• Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia; basic English is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assemble packaging materials according to order requirements.
• Perform visual inspection of finished goods prior to packaging to ensure defects are absent.
• Verify information before sealing/boxing (quantity, part number, variant, serial number).
• Operate packaging equipment and tools per SOPs and safety requirements.
• Maintain packaging area cleanliness and 5S standards; comply with safety/quality rules.
• Prepare and set up workstation with materials, equipment, and documents.
• Set up and adjust sealing machine per order requirements.
• Monitor and replenish daily packaging supplies to ensure smooth operations.
• Inform supervisor of shortages or faults that may impact operations.
• Ensure readiness for next order/changeover to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with Quality, Production, and Warehouse teams to meet targets.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor/shift leader.
