Job summary

Micron Concept Aerostructures in Malaysia is seeking a quality inspector to perform visual and mechanical inspections according to drawings and customer requirements. The role includes IPQC, OQA, First/Last Piece checks, problem reporting, and documentation within the ERP system.

You will maintain quality records, support prototype runs, ensure proper labeling and preservation, and uphold 6S and safety standards on the shop floor while driving continual quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Must follow drawings and customer requirements.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic understanding of quality inspection processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and mechanical inspections according to drawing and customer requirements.
• Carry out QC inspections including IPQC, OQA, First Piece, Last Piece and Reinspection.
• Verify manufacturing and supplier documents to ensure product compliance and traceability.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports and quality records accurately.
• Support FAI, prototype runs and inspection data collection.
• Identify and report non-conformities and quality issues to the relevant team.
• Ensure proper product identification, labelling, packaging and preservation.
• Ensure inspection equipment is calibrated and fit for use.
• Update inspection and job status accurately in the ERP system.
• Maintain FOD, 6S, cleanliness and safety at the workplace.
• Support quality improvement activities and departmental KPI.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Superior.
