Job summary

Accenture Southeast Asia is seeking a Software Quality Engineer to analyze and consult on complex software QA projects across standards and methodologies. You will lead QA activities, coordinate with project teams and ensure quality across multiple projects.

The role requires strong communication in English and Malay, solid IT knowledge, and hands-on experience with QA strategies, databases, and software architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or postgraduate qualification in IT Engineering.
• Ability to express technical concepts in business terms for clients.
• English and Malay language skills with good written and spoken ability.
• Well organized, independent, and able to meet deadlines.
• In-depth QA strategy, process and tools knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with client-server, Web and mobile computing.

Job description

The Software Quality Engineer provides analysis and consulting on highly complex software development projects related to quality assurance, work processes, and compliance with standards and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate work plans, status and issues to the management
• Work with project teams and/or management in prioritizing project requirements
• Play a major role in QA efforts on multiple and simultaneous projects which includes performing unit testing, system integration testing, user testing and regression testing
• Effectively integrate the QA engineering and analysis functions on all software development projects
• Conduct reviews to assess the degree to which application development projects achieve quality
• Test new programs, tools and techniques for acceptability, usability, and works as documents and make recommendations as necessary
• Create and maintain documentation for QA procedures
• Evaluate processes and coordinate with others to provide recommendations for standards, guidelines and procedures

Requirements

• Possess at least a bachelor's degree or post graduate qualification, preferably in IT Engineering
• Strong and effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to express technical concepts in business terms to the clients.
• Good communication, written and presentation skills in English and Malay
• Well organized, independent, detailed and able to meet committed deadline
• Possess conceptual knowledge of information technologies and methodologies in client server and or mobile computing environments are desirable
• Have in depth IT knowledge of QA strategy, process and tools and able to drive and execute software QA projects
• Possess strong technical knowledge, with hands on experience in new and legacy computing architectures and environments e.g. client server, Web, mobile application
• Have in depth knowledge of relational databases and database applications DB2 and or Microsoft SQL Server
• Familiar with application design knowledge in C .Net and AJAX, JavaScript and C Language
• Have experience in handheld application development for various platforms android, iOS and Windows mobile Experienced in management and development in MS SQL Server database T SQL, Stored Procedure, Trigger, etc.
