Strategic Planning & Quality System Implementation
Lead the overall design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the factory’s quality management systems, including ISO 9001, and other applicable requirements.
Ensure full compliance with, and continuous advancement beyond, the quality specifications and compliance requirements of multinational brand customers.
End-to-End Quality Control & Supply Chain Collaboration
Oversee the complete quality control process, covering raw materials and trims sourcing, in-process production, finished goods inspection, and final shipment.
Establish overall quality objectives, including defect reduction, quality enhancement, and operational efficiency, while driving collaborative quality improvements throughout the upstream supply chain.
Customer Relations & Audit Management
Lead and manage responses to high-level inspections and strategic audits conducted by key customers, global brands, and third-party authorities.
Manage major quality-related crises and lead root cause analysis (RCA) for customer complaints.
Develop and implement long-term, proactive quality improvement mechanisms to prevent recurring issues.
Take responsibility for the organizational structure, performance management, and talent pipeline development of global and multi-site quality teams.
Build a strong culture of total quality awareness, proactive prevention, and quality engineering capabilities throughout the organization.
Data Governance & Digital Quality Advancement
Leverage digital tools to perform multi-dimensional analysis and modeling of production quality data.
Identify quality risks and trends, drive process transformation and continuous improvement, and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
Cross-Functional Strategic Collaboration
Establish strong collaboration with key functions, including Production, R&D/Technical, Lean (IE), and Global Procurement.
Break down departmental silos and achieve an effective balance between quality, delivery, and cost, while maintaining a leading position in product quality.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or above in Textile Engineering, Clothing/Garment Engineering, Quality Management, or a related engineering discipline is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of quality management experience within the apparel industry.
At least 5 years of experience in a Quality Manager or Quality Director position within apparel manufacturing groups, preferably with overseas manufacturing experience.
Strong knowledge of AQL standards, complex garment construction and manufacturing processes, and Six Sigma or Lean management methodologies.
In-depth understanding of quality, social responsibility, and sustainability audit standards required by leading global sports and fashion brands.
Demonstrate a global perspective and a proven track record of driving quality transformation through data-driven approaches.
Strong capabilities in root cause analysis of quality issues, proactive risk mitigation, and process re-engineering.
Excellent cross-cultural communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
Ability to remain calm and effective when managing demanding client audits, critical customer complaints, and complex cross-functional situations.
Willingness to relocate overseas.
Willingness to undertake international business travel.
